Another down to the bare bones line up featured an injured mid-fielder in goal and an injured centre back as a makeshift striker from the start.
Despite several positional changes Rangers did not lack heart and took the game to their hosts for the whole of the first half.
A strong wind in their faces made life difficult but Rangers carved out enough chances to keep a suspect back 5 busy for the home side and though they did not convert any chances they fully deserved the 0-0 half time score line.
A second half, Drew Gill, long throw had the host's keeper in all kinds of trouble and it seemed as though he actually put the ball over the line before scooping it out. The ref did not agree with the Rangers players and spectators and ruled play on.
Now tiring from their efforts and with no subs Rangers allowed advancing forwards to push them too far back and a well judged through ball was converted to give the home side a lead and before Rangers could reply a well taken shot increased the lead.

There is no doubt that Leeds Lions are an excellent side and well deserved their victory, however, their 7-0 half-time lead was largely handed to them by a very poor prformance from their visitors.
A battling second half performance restored some pride and enabled them to take something from a game played in a very good spirit.
If only the same dogged determination evident in the second half had been displayed throughout the match I might have more to say.

Rangers only have themselves to blame for not killing this game off in the first half. For the second week running they created enough good chances to win 3 or 4 matches but converted only once .
Despite enjoying the lion's share of first half possession the home side only led by the solitary goal of the first half, when the teams turned around for the second installment. There was concern from the management and supporters that this wasn't enough against a spirited but inferior visiting side.
Often we hear about games of two halves this wasn't one of them as we continued to enjoy more possession and waste more excellent goal scoring opportunities. Time and time again our strikers bore down on the visitors goal only to be thwarted by the excellent Rothwell keeper who always seemed to win in the one on ones.
It was starting to look like one of thse one-sided games when a team is hardly in it but conjures up a scrappy goal from no where and escapes with a point.
That is exactly what happened.
So training is easily sorted this week and shooting practice will feature heavily.
Despite having to accept only a point from an excellent all round team performance the confidence factor shoul be high as with a little more composure in front of goal and perhaps a little more luck, having hit the woodwork twice theresultcould have been much different.

Having created enough chances to win 3 games, Rangers were punished for their failure to finish in a second half where they were out competed by a Calverley side that had a greater collective desire to win the game.
Playing up a slight slope and into the wind in the first half, Rangers took a deserved lead that was wiped out by some very sloppy defensive work, resulting in a perhaps dubious penalty. Having converted the spot kick the home side were undeservedly level at the break.
In the second half Rangers produced a number of goalscoring chances and yet were still outbattled by the home side who rode their luck at both ends and edged a tight encounter.

Tight derby game in which Colton went ahead in the first half and Rangers dservedly equalise with a classy finish from Callum McDonald.

This game probably wasn't as one sided as the score line suggests but the difference was the clinical finishing from the visitors. Goals from Morton, Brownbill & Helliwell.

After a slow start that allowed the visitors to go in front Rangers picked up their game, equalised and looked as though they would dominate the first half, that didn't happen and it was the visitors who went ahead again before the last kick of the half made it 2-2.
Rangers edged in front in the second half only to be pegged back at 3-3 before finally getting a grip on the game and sealing
their second win of the campaign.

After a disappointing defeat at Chapeltown last time out, Rangers returned to last season's wining ways with a battling win at Seacroft.
After breaking the initial deadlock with a well taken effort from Jordan Hayes Rangers relaxed and were soon 2-1 down as their hosts scored 2 in 2 minutes. Drew Gill's direct free kick levelled the scores before half-time and after weathering an early 2nd half battering from their hosts Rangers held the upper hand as the home side tired. A pealty rom Shaun O'Neil and a well taken effort from Thomas ( Zola) Helliwell sealed the win.
