Under 12 Selby District Junior League

Last season's squad finished a creditable mid-table position in the Charles Rice League, and could have finished higher but for a few end of season narrow defeats when better results were expected. With almost all players now having played at least one season with the club, we will test ourselves this season in the Selby District League, playing on a Saturday and giving our loyal band of supporters their Sunday's back.

As always the focus is on the players enjoying their football, win, lose, or draw, and the culture of positive encouragement is a trademark of the coaches and spectators alike.  Here's looking forward to another enjoyable season of good-spirited football and hopefully a not too wet a winter. 

Stephen Shippey and Spencer Wright embark on their third season as coaches of the squad.  Stephen is an FA Qualified Coach with "many" years experience as a player, manager, referee and open age coach, and has coached girls teams since Garforth Rangers started their girls section in 2002 and this boys team for the past two seasons. Spencer provides invaluable assistance at training and on match days and has almost been converted to enjoying football as much as rugby league.
